She cannot stop reading & is already planning a Harry Potter birthday party, Halloween costume & wants to dedicate a section of her room as the Harry Potter corner.

2016 fifty-eight

This morning we did a session at the Billings Temple.  Afterwards, we spent 45 minutes in the celestial room talking about Dad, Diane, Briggers, & just life!  It was awesome & felt like a little glimpse of heaven.  

Next, we spent most of the day at the kitchen table sewing away.  Meet my sewing sisters.  Too bad I don't even know how to sew anything except a straight line, but at least after the class yesterday I know what all the buttons and settings on my machine do. 

I did sew a baby blanket & even added fancy embroidery stitching around the edge

drum roll please...dresses!  I know, right?

I was so impressed with their determination & skills.  I have to keep telling myself-baby steps!

 We pulled ourselves away from the sewing fest for a yummy dinner at Enzos tonight.  The gourmet mac & cheese & creme brulee were so delicious!!

It was hang out day for the cousins while the Moms went to a very important sewing class to educate us on our new machines.

I love how close these girls are.  
It's hard to imagine one without the other.

   Aliza took the girls to the temple for baptisms this morning, then on a shopping marathon while we were gone.  They all found some fun stuff. Love the hat, Brynn!

My girls & I headed to Montana to Becca's house for a sewing/eating/temple weekend with several of the sisters and cousins.  It was just what we needed!!  These two talked, read, drew pictures, & watched movies while I chauffeured them 7 hours to Laurel, MT.

Reunited!

I took a quick trip to Vegas for a meeting about possible magazine business in Spokane.  (it's a no go btw) Kevin Orton was doing a training & so Carrie picked me up & we got to catch up on everything for several hours (even though there are never enough catch up hours with Carrie!)  To say I've missed her is the understatement of the year.

It was such a treat being with these guys!  Love love love them.

Tonight for FHE we had our Annual Family Valentine's Day Party a day late.  Phew!  We had been wondering when we would be able to fit it in this year our schedule has been so full!

Mini Murph Monday

Our local Papa Murphy's gives out free mini pizzas to all the kids every Monday so dinner was a no-brainer

After the games, we headed outside for some flashlight tag because that's Valentiney right?  We laughed like crazy maniacs sprinting around the yard dodging the light.  I'd say we definitely burned off a lot of those pizza calories.

 It's crazy how fast the "annual" traditions we have keep coming around.  Time just HAS to slow down a little!  Love this little team of mine more than words can say.
