After partying too much with the Thomsons, Cade fell deep asleep in Sister Marshall's chair waiting for his turn at piano this afternoon. It was "fun" waking him up for his lesson. Does anyone reading this remember how Cade woke up from his naps as a toddler and child? Yikers. We had to watch out for at least an hour. Luckily, it wasn't bad today, he just took a while to get going. Love this cute, hard-working buddy.

It was our turn to have the Thomsons over and we loved every busy, crazy minute!
First Up-Homework and Snacks!
Dinner Time! It was rumored that Pace could pound the food. Obviously, from this plateful, he did not disappoint!
After Young Men/Women, Activity Days, an NJHS Induction Ceremony, & a semi-quick trip to the pool/hot tub-we loved taking in some gospel light with our extra large team.
Cal cozied right up to Pay Pay and fell asleep. Pace was a good sport, as usual, with our littles. I hate to admit this whole "falling asleep during scripture study" thing happens several times a week with Cally!

Ahem...It was Abby's Freshmen High School Orientation Tonight!
I can't believe it! Have I mentioned how excited she is??? We got pumped up at an assembly showcasing all the clubs, groups, student council etc. then toured the school and picked up information about extracurricular activities. Abby stopped at the cheer booth and...Mandarin Chinese. (That is the language she is signed up to learn!) Yikes.
They are going to LOVE it & it will be fun to be back in the high school scene again. But this time, as a MOM!

The Sugar Shack Is Now Open For Business!
These two took out a loan from Mick and I to buy the goods from Costco. After school, they hang out at the middle school bus stop. They are going to donate some money earned to help fund SMA research and the rest they are saving for a Fun Family Trip.
Love these two little entrepreneurs!

The kids (& I) decided it was time for a toothpaste intervention in their bathroom. They voted on all having their own tube, so we'll see how this goes. I love how they wouldn't let me forget one for Briggers:) He'll be good to go in the teeth department when we're all together again someday.

Abby got some fun pictures today in St. George
They enjoyed a fireside Friday night, baptisms at the temple Saturday morning, toured Brigham Young's Winter Home and the Jacob Hamblin Home, and ate at three favorite restaurants we don't have in Vegas...Swigs, Chick-fil-A, and The Pizza Factory
This picture was actually taken Friday night. The girls had so much fun catching frogs and playing in the backyard of the house they stayed at.
Lost Tooth #2 is in the books for Cal!
He is one proud boy & I'm very grateful that my better half Tooth Fairy did not forget to come! Phew & thanks.

It Was Definitely Fun Friday Today
We jazzed up his usual lunch with personalized ketchup (I don't remember him eating that cookie before lunch...hmmm)
Mustachio!
Sent these stylin' young men off for a Scouting Expo Campout
Does Cade look like the newest member of the troop or what? I love his enthusiasm. (He even slept in his footies proud as can be.)
And these darling young women/leaders left at the same time for a St. George Temple Trip! They had the GREATEST time! (Mick was beyond bummed that he didn't get to go because of work. Boo!)
The littles and I had every minute of our time planned while the bigs were gone. They have been wanting to make gingerbread cookies for months and even though it is out of season, we went for it. They tasted awesome. We decided any season is gingerbread season. The cute Green girls joined us too since they are moving back to Utah tomorrow :(
They were so careful with their people while transporting them to the cookie sheets
Time to decorate!
Her masterpieces!

This little cutie helped me make some gingerbread cookie dough tonight with the new BOSCH. (Can you believe I sold my 16-year-old one for $170? I was shocked!) I love that she is so excited to cook, bake, sew, plan, organize, & take care of kids. She will be one awesome Mom someday!

The girls received trophies and a super cute personalized T-shirt
Such a sweet and talented bunch. We are going to miss them!
Abs with her coach, Mrs. Sullivan
One more of these two fancies since no one in their families would
cooperate for a picture & we were the last ones in the gym!

Meet Agent Cal & Agent Bree who are now 100% legit spies.
Leave it to Carrie to go above and beyond making these badges for them. I can't believe she took the time to do this after they mentioned it! Clearly, they are ecstatic!
They've got your back (all 50 pounds of them)

We're dogsitting Rooster again. Funny. We don't even dogsit, but there's something about this old dog. Bree is especially smitten. And...Bonus-here's an action shot of Mick getting home from work.

I lived in my van today and we all held our breath through the famous (to us) airport tunnel 8 TIMES!
It was all worth it to help out some friends and watch my kids perform.
Cade's All State Middle School Concert
Holy Cow they were outstanding! Cade loved rehearsing at UNLV & learning from the guest conductor for the past two and a half days. They sang four numbers and seriously were incredible. Like a mini Mo Tab.
I embarrassed the heck out of Caders making him take this picture while all his peers drove by-but it was worth it. Gotta love the guy in the van doing an all out photo bomb!
Later, Cade and Abby had their Nevada Musicianship theory exams, also at UNLV. Bree, Cal, and I came prepared to hang out for an hour or so until they were done. Breezer's current favorite stuffed animal, Storkie, had to come too!
An intense soccer game was played on some real grass!
The day ended with Cade's back to back basketball games
They had one win and one loss & he had a lot of fun & played well with this new team
We collapsed by 8 pm and we were ecstatic Mick finally finished work a little while after that!
