2016 ninety-five

We had each of the kids choose a fun thing to do on our Spring Break trip.
Abby and Cade both wanted to go surfing at the Flowrider back in our old stomping grounds, O Town.
We found some good deals online and had a blast trying to catch this wave...

First-instructions, then let's do this!
His face says it all (like usual)
All business!

 The Surfers!  Right on duuudes!

Our next stop was to this sacred place, Brigger's grave in South Ogden.

We used all of our data and then some streaming 4 hours of General Conference
on 4 different devices while driving to Utah today!
It was definitely worth it though.
Elder Holland's talk was incredible to finish this amazing conference.
Our favorite quote-
"Keep loving, keep trying, keep believing, keep growing.
Heaven is cheering you on today, tomorrow, and forever."

Yet another one of the things Bree loves to do...
PACK for trips.

I'd say it is one of her strengths...
Every last thing that is going on this trip is labeled, including her blankie, purse, & herself!  he he
At least one of us is ready for our Utah Spring Break Trip!

I have to admit, I'm a General Conference Nerd.
I LOVE it so much & try to instill the same love in my children.
I want them to remember General Conference as something
they looked forward to like Christmas with yummy treats
& a spiritual feast.  I want them to know it is one of the
best ways to find answers to their questions in life.
Current, up-to-date solutions & insights are given to help
with the struggles & complex issues that are bombarding them from every angle.

Bree's all set up!  Bingo is always a hit.

We wrote down our questions before Conference

And a family favorite...
Mystery Treat Bags to open when the prophets
& apostles have their turn speaking.

Peek-a- Boo!  We see you!
These crazy monkeys were climbing to the top of the maple trees this afternoon.

He had to make this face for the effect!  ha ha

She just looks sweet, as usual.
I love that sunshine radiating through the branches.
 Maybe spring is really here!

Abby has LOVED with a capital L learning the pole vault this year!  She seems to have a knack for it & it was fun watching her in action finally today.  Home meet at Central Valley HS.

Ready for the run

It's cool she knows how to do this, because I sure don't

Nice clearance!

Congratulations on a fabulous meet Abs!

Someone in this house really struggles to let go of the little art projects that come home.  How cute is Tom the Turkey?  I finally took a picture to remember Cal's creation because I just couldn't say goodbye.  Gobble Gobble!

Happy Kids on Easter Morning with some (apparently easy-to-find) baskets filled with gum, peeps, bubbles, & talks on CD for the teens, & treats/art stuff for the littles.

Happy Easter!

My Greatest Miracles

We invited the Blasers down for dinner.  We ate really yummy food & had a great time together!  I still can't believe how sweet & quiet their 6 kids are.  It hardly feels like we have a family of 8 visiting!

And...the bigs at the grown up table

Saturday Easter Celebrations

We had an awesome time at a neighborhood Easter egg hunt put on by our Bishop's family, the Julians.

How cool that the Easter bunny came hopping down the trail right before the hunt began.

Cal's new BFF ha ha

Bree loved it!

This cutie started hunting in the wrong age group area, so I told her to head out to the older kid's section.  She stopped right there & dumped out all of the eggs she had found before heading to the right spot.  I had not expected her to get rid of the eggs she already had, & that made it so her basket was less than full at the end, but she was such a good sport & didn't seem to mind at all.

He scored!

I can't get enough of this guy.  I love everything about him.

Here is the whole hunting crew with the famous Easter Bunny!

In the evening, we had pizza & decorated eggs with the Carters before heading to the local Seventh Day Adventist Church's "Journey to the Cross" production.  It was pretty incredible.

Coloring Eggs!!

Cal, Easton, Breezers

This is very serious business

Abs loves anything artistic or creative so this was right up her alley

Cal's proud of his purple!

While we were waiting for our tour to start, we sat in the chapel and were treated to some upbeat religious music by this band.  The kids were so enthusiastic they really got the performers going.  It was pretty funny.

The last supper reenactment

And...that's all the pictures I took, but it was a great experience and really brought things to life for the kids. Many from the community and other church's step up to volunteer & it is an amazing production.
